Terms and Conditions for Cancellations, Returns, and Warranties
Part 1: Cancellations and Returns
Consumers, i.e. any individual acting for purposes which are wholly or mainly outside those individual’s trade, business, craft or profession, are entitled to cancel any contract on the following conditions:
A. Instructions for cancellations and returns
Right to cancel
You have the right to cancel this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason.
The cancellation period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the goods.
To exercise the right to cancel, you must inform us (Nuvi Nomad // Nina Rössler dipl. Des., Thronerstrasse 7, 60385 Frankfurt, Germany, Tel.: +49 15123258825, E-Mail: [email protected]) of your decision to cancel this contract by a clear statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or e-mail). You may use the attached model cancellation form, but it is not obligatory.
To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right to cancel before the cancellation period has expired.
Effects of cancellation
If you cancel this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you choose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us) without undue delay and not later than fourteen days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to cancel this contract. We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you. We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise. In any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of the reimbursement. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.
You shall send back the goods or hand them over to us without undue delay and in any event not later than fourteen days from the day on which you communicate your cancellation from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired.
You will bear the direct cost of returning the goods.
You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods
1) Please prevent damage to and contamination of the goods. Please return the goods, if possible, in the original packaging with all accessories and all packaging components. If necessary, please use protective outer packaging. If you are no longer in possession of the original packaging, please use suitable packaging providing adequate protection against potential transport damage.
2) Please do not return the goods via freight forward.
3) Please note that the above general information in section 1 and 2 is not a precondition for effectively exercising your right to cancel.

C. 30-day withdrawal pledge
Regardless of your statutory right of revocation, we voluntarily grant you the following redemption right:
All items from our shop can be returned to us within 30 days from receipt of the goods, provided the goods are complete and in unused and undamaged condition. If the goods were delivered in a sales packaging, they must still be in the original packaging. The punctual dispatch of the goods is sufficient to meet the deadline.

In the event of the use of this withdrawal promise, we will reimburse you the purchase price already paid by you. You carry the risk of transportation.
This withdrawal promise in no way restricts your statutory rights and, in particular, not the statutory right of revocation (see above under A.).
Part 2: Warranty Conditions
At Nuvi Nomad, we take great pride in making high value products, manufactured naturally, in limited quantities by skilled craftsmen. Because our products are handcrafted to a great extent and the raw materials used a signature development of our company and of the highest caliber available at the time they are designed, we stand by our collections and embrace any imperfections that might reveal themselves down the line. Our products are destined to be timeless and durable, but can still present limitations.
Nuvi Nomad’s warranty does not apply to any goods deemed by Nuvi Nomad’s experts, to have been subject to abuse, modification, attempted repair, negligence, misuse, normal wear and tear, or an accident.
We offer a 6-months-guarantee on the promoted product.
The guarantee is granted only to consumers within the meaning of § 13 BGB (German Civil Code), not towards retailers within the meaning of § 14 BGB (German Civil Code), where each consumer is a natural person that concludes a legal transaction for a purpose, which can be attributed neither to his commercial nor his professional occupation.
The deadline for calculating the guarantee period starts from the date of invoice. Our guarantee is valid in Germany as well as in all Member States of the European Union.
If the product should fail during this period due to defects in materials or workmanship, Nuvi Nomad grants you as the Guarantor one of the following benefits:
- free repair of the goods or
- free exchange of goods for an equivalent product (possibly also a successor model, incase the original product is no longer available).
Extension of our guarantee:
We guarantee you an additional duration of 6 months on top of the above mentioned guarantee exclusively for purchases in our online shop (www.nuvi-nomad.com). Thus, the overall duration of our guarantee increases to 12 months. All NUVI NOMAD products purchased on other sales channels are excluded from the extension of the guarantee.
We only grant the guarantee to consumer within the meaning of § 13 BGB (German Civil Code). A consumer means every natural person who enters into a legal transaction for purposes that predominantly are outside his trade, business or profession. We do not grant the guarantee to entrepreneurs within the meaning of § 14 BGB (German Civil Code).
The period for the calculation of the guarantee duration starts with the billing date and is only provided for purchases in our online shop (www.nuvi-nomad.com). Our guarantee is locally limited to the Federal Republic of Germany and members of the European Union. If there are any defects on your NUVI NOMAD product during this time period we as warrantor grant you one the following services of our choice:
- free repair of the product(s) or
- free replacement of the product(s) by an equal article (respectively a follow-up modelif the original product is no longer available)
The extension of our guarantee only means an increase of the guarantee duration. All other
terms of the guarantee remain the same in this increased guarantee duration. Please send your guarantee claim to us to the following address :

This guarantee shall not apply to any damage claims arising from
– misuse or improper handling of the goods resulting in breakage and stain;
– environmental influences (extreme moisture, extreme heat, dirt etc.), in particular damage caused by fluids and fire;
– non-compliance with any safety precautions;
– failure to comply with the operating instructions;
– the use of violence;
– unauthorized repair attempts or modifications;
– normal wear and tear;
Variation of color and color changes are also excluded from the guarantee.
The use of the guarantee claim implies the examination of the goods after sending them to us. Please make sure that transport damages can be avoided by an appropriate packaging.
To claim the guarantee you need to add a copy of the original invoice to your goods. Please understand that we can still reject your claim if the documents are incomplete. The copy of the invoice is used to calculate the guarantee period. In case of a legitimate guarantee, we will provide the guarantee service within 30 days from the date of dispatch.
The freight cost for sending the goods as well as the costs for returning the goods to you are at our expense and will be refunded. However, you bear the risk of loss or damage of the goods in transit within the guarantee service.
